While earning my English degree at North Central College, I served as Design Editor for the college’s literary magazine, leading the visual direction of the publication. In my senior year, I was responsible for designing the full interior layout, developing the cover concept, and creating original illustrations for both the front and back covers.

Beyond concept and layout, I managed the full print production process. After final approvals, I prepared press-ready files, ensured all specifications met vendor requirements, and coordinated directly with the printer to deliver the publication on deadline. Working independently under tight timelines, I oversaw the project from concept through final production—balancing editorial sensitivity, illustration, typography, and technical print execution.
